Perusahaan Terbatas Krakatau Steel (English: Krakatau Steel Company Limited) is a largest steel maker in Indonesia, headquartered in Cilegon, Banten. The location is on the western end of Banten and adjacent to the Sunda Strait, and where the Krakatoa volcano and island from which the company takes its name are located.

On October 2010, groundbreaking ceremony for integrated steel mill has been done. It will be built on 400 hectares in two stages with an overall capacity up to 6 million tons annually. The first stage will supply a half portion and is planned to be completed by 2013. The Joint Venture shares is 55:45 for Posco and PT Krakatau Steel respectively.[1] The first phase will start construction in July 2011 and the second phase expected to kick off in 2013.[2]
